Join us in saving lives! Open to tweens and teens ages 12-19.

The City of Hollywood and Memorial Healthcare System have created a new community health initiative, Hollywood HERO: Health Education and Response Outreach. Hollywood HERO is designed to empower and inspire our community to take action and make a difference. In this class, you will learn bystander CPR so that you can help increase survival rates for out-of-hospital heart attacks by 2-3 times.

Take action today and become a lifesaving hero in your community! In this class, attendees will learn:

• Bystander CPR to increase survival rates

• Signs of cardiac arrest and the importance of quick response

• How to access and use life-saving automatic external defibrillators (AEDs)

• How to respond to choking and severe bleeding

• Stroke recognition and early intervention

• Healthy lifestyle choices for long-term well-being
