Manatee Season Kick Off

Come see what’s new at Manatee Lagoon – An FPL Eco-Discovery Center® and celebrate the start of manatee season at a free kickoff event on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event’s theme is “Manatee Moments” to promote conservation efforts and safety awareness. Bring the whole family to enjoy face painting, scavenger hunts, marine-themed vendors and a free frozen treat! The first 400 visitors will receive a free waterproof phone pouch with information on how to report a manatee in distress if seen in the wild. In addition to celebrating the start of manatee season, there are many other reasons to visit Manatee Lagoon! The enhanced facility has new exhibits and programs, including three life-sized manatee statues, a seagrass exhibit and a Florida mangroves exhibit.
