For a taste of classic fair food with a twist of modern-day delights, the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair & Expo delivers. Running through April 7, these are the final days to try some of the more unique flavors this fair has to offer. With more than 150 stands to explore, you are sure to find something here that will temp your tastebuds. New additions to the sweet side of the Fair Frontier this year include Strawberry Shortcake Crepe Burritos, an Almond Joy Funnel Cake and Banana Cream Pie Nachos. Do you find savory more satisfying? Then you might want to try the Piggy Mac made with BBQ pulled pork and creamy mac and cheese served on Texas toast, or the Korean Corndog, a hot dog sliced with fresh mozzarella cheese chunks, dipped in a thick donut batter, rolled in panko and French fry chunks then fried and topped with ketchup, mustard, sweet chili Thai sauce and sriracha. In addition to tasty fair food, the Youth Fair touts a variety of carnival-style rides, live entertainment, games and fun for the whole family.
