Creative Community Night is our reimagined take on collaboARTive’s Open Studio Nights—still rooted in the magic of artists working in their studios with our doors open to visitors, but redesigned to prioritize what people are craving most right now: real connection.
Happening every other month starting Saturday, January 17, 2026 (7–9 PM), Creative Community Night invites you to wander our working studios, meet the artists, and take part in simple, low-pressure creative prompts that make it easy to talk to new people (even if you come solo). It’s less “walk through and look” and more “come in, make something, and belong.
Expect an easygoing evening of:
• Open studios artist conversations
• Hands-on, come-as-you-are creative activities (no experience needed)
• A welcoming space to slow down, connect, and build community through art

Responsibilities and Duties:
Weeding
Pulling vines
Spreading mulch
Other light gardening tasks as directed
Qualifications: Youth under 16 must volunteer with a parent/guardian present.
Recommended: Please bring a refillable water bottle, closed-toed shoes, and protection from the sun (sunscreen, hats, sunglasses). If you have your own gloves, we recommend bringing them. Park staff will provide hand tools and limited gloves. Community service hours letters will be emailed, by request, following the event.

This free public exhibition series, launching on Sunday, May 3, in collaboration with the Quilt Guild by the Sea, will celebrate the artistry and tradition of quilting, bringing colorful stories to life through fabric and craftsmanship.

Joe Lovano has performed and recorded with a long list of jazz greats including Woody Herman, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Bill Frisell, Tony Bennett, Abbey Lincoln, Charlie Haden, John Scofield, McCoy Tyner, Ed Blackwell, Herbie Hancock, Dave Holland, Chucho Valdés, Ornette Coleman, Diana Krall, and many others. Joe has created an extensive body of work for his own ensembles.
Opening set by Fort Lauderdale’s award-winning Dillard Center for the Arts (DCA) Jazz Ensemble. This 21-member high school jazz band has been recognized nationally for its excellence, winning the prestigious Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition in New York City multiple times. The current director Voshaun Smith is an alumni of the band!
