Many fathers have spent more time with their children in the past four weeks than ever before, so the timing is right for Florida's Fathers in Action Advocacy Week this week - and the Fathers in Education Day on Thursday.

The Fatherhood Task Force of South Florida is celebrating with free virtual Zoom parenting workshops, which are open to all dads and presented in partnership with Miami-Dade County Public Schools. The schedule and select past videos are linked at ftfsf.org.
Fatherhood advocates from across South Florida are presenting on a variety of topics, including Fathers Speak Up: Words Have Power and Build Success, The Power of a Father’s Presence, Fathers’ Role in Creating Family Wellness and Developing Children’s Genius and How Fatherhood Task Force Fathers De-Stress during 24/7 COVID-19.
The Fatherhood Task Force has also issued a social media challenge, asking fathers to post videos and photos of themselves reading to their children on April 30 with the hashtag #MDCPSFIECHALLENGE.
