Cirque du Soleil returns to South Florida with “ECHO” – a powerful and awe-inspiring performance that explores the delicate balance between humans, animals and the
world we share.
The concept of the performance stems from how we experience an echo through humanity and the way our actions have a resounding impact on the surrounding world. This idea is brought to life by how artists and characters interact with the CUBE.
Filled with amazing acrobatic feats, stunning visuals and inspiring music, the excitement unfolds from February 22 through April 7 under the Big Top at Gulfstream Park. ECHO, a show for all ages, tells a story of the symbiotic connections between humans and the animal kingdom through a unique and breathtaking performance.
The storyline of Cirque’s 20th Big Top show follows an inquisitive young woman named FUTURE as she wanders into a fantasy world that explores the bond between animals and nature. When FUTURE and her best friend the DOG encounter a mysterious CUBE, they quickly learn how their actions have the power to shape this world.
As the massive structure is extracted and rebuilt, we come to understand that empathy and compassion can restore our relationship with animals and the natural world, and ultimately
lead us to a space of hope, love and connection.
Packed with vibrant characters, inspiring music, contemporary abstract costumes, astounding lighting and projections, and never-before-seen acrobatics, ECHO brings audiences on a journey through a universe of color, wonder and infinite possibilities.
Gulfstream Park is located at 901 S. Federal Highway in Hallandale Beach. For more information, or to purchase tickets, visit http://www.cirquedusoleil.com/echo.
