Sure, the South Beach Wine and Food Festival might sound like it’s specifically geared toward grown-ups, but there’s plenty of foodie fun for all ages during this four-day festival.
The star-studded event takes place February 22-25 and includes an extensive lineup of events with the likes of renowned chefs and celebrities including Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri, among many others.
Experiences range from food and wine tastings to master cooking classes to complete dinners prepared by extraordinary chefs. For the family, Golden Globe award-winning actress and best-selling author Valerie Bertinelli will host a Family Ice Cream Social at Loews Miami Beach Hotel on Sunday, February 25. The cost is $60 for each adult and $40 per child and includes samplings of inventive ice cream flavors and toppings that range from sweet to savory. The social takes place on the hotel lawn, so there will be plenty of space for the kids to run, play and work off some of that sugar-fueled energy. Earlier that day, Salt & Straw will provide an ice cream-making master class where attendees can learn how the shop concocts inventive flavors such as chocolate champurrado with sesame toffee, blackberry tamales and freckled mint chocolate chip. Tickets start at $115.
