Singing, dancing, improv and acting are just a few of the festivities planned during the free open house at the Rose Miniaci Arts Education Center at Broward Center for the Performing Arts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 26.
Children, teens, and adults can kick off the Fall season with a fun, engaging and entertaining open house designed to showcase singing, dancing, theater and acting classes available at the Broward Center. During the open house, visitors can meet teaching artists, explore the education center, and sample the classes offered in the Fall. Among the family-friendly activities are Broadway karaoke, crafts, prize giveaways and the chance to win show tickets and a free class registration. Light refreshments will be served.
The Broward Center performing arts program, voted Favorite Arts Program by South Florida Family Life magazine from 2018 through 2023, allows participants to learn something new, try something different, and explore their creative side while learning from professional teachers.
Each class is uniquely designed for the age group and skill level of the performer to ensure comfort and individualized growth. Classes begin Monday, September 11 and span ten weeks unless otherwise noted. Anyone who purchases a second class for themself or a family member, enjoys a 10% discount on any additional class. Complimentary parking is included in all class fees.
Need-based full and partial scholarships are available through the generosity of the Ronald Plotkin Scholarship Fund and the Mary Jane Harlow Charitable Trust. In addition, class participants have access to audition opportunities for shows and community performances.
