Night of New Orleans Jazz Funk at Miami Beach Bandshell

The Lucy Project has teamed up with Miami Beach Bandshell, George Porter Jr & The Runnin’ Pardners, and Jon Cleary for our first Annual Concert Fundraiser. The Lucy Project was created to help support struggling readers. By offering free in-school programs and affordable out-of-school remediation with highly trained educators, we are committed to making literacy accessible to all. All proceeds go to direct services at The Lucy Project for evidence-based reading remediation. George Porter Jr. is an award-winning bassist, songwriter, and vocalist. George Porter Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners will headline the event and play a 90-minute set. They play locally and tour prolifically, garnering respect not only as the quintessential New Orleans band but also as a significant national attraction within the jam band and festival scene.
