The Southwest Ranches Parks Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2009 by Aster Knight, is proud to present the first annual Country Fair, a four-day community event benefitting the improvement of Southwest Ranches’ seven public parks. The exciting new fair will take place at Southwest Meadows Sanctuary Park at 16290 Griffin Road and will have a diverse assortment of games, contests and attractions for all ages to enjoy.
Anchoring the Country Fair is a vibrant carnival provided by Amusements of America, the nation’s premier operator. Attendees will be able to experience several spectacular thrill, family and kiddie rides during the event, such as a Ferris wheel, tilt-a-whirl, slide and merry-go-round. Tickets for the rides will be available to purchase onsite only. “Ride All” wristbands are priced at $25 a day, while individual tickets are $1.50 each. Each attraction ranges from three to five tickets per ride. Packs of 20 tickets are $25 and packs of 56 tickets are $55. Tickets for the rides are cash only, and ATMs will be conveniently located onsite.
A curated selection of local food trucks will also be offering meals, snacks and sweet treats at the event. Rocked & Loaded will serve Southern fusion cuisine including tacos, sliders and quinoa bowls; Wunderbar, a local sports bar and grill known for its German dishes, will feature a menu of specialty sausages; Moop Pops will bring its unique gelato bars made in all flavors; and Sandwicheries will serve sandwiches, burgers and salads with vegetarian options. Credit cards will be accepted by all food vendors.
In addition to the carnival, the Country Fair will have activities such as a petting zoo and pony rides for the community to participate in.
The Country Fair is sponsored by Gentle Dental and Camp Lingua. The event was created by Southwest Ranches Parks Foundation to raise awareness and funds for the beautiful parks of Southwest Ranches.
