Hear ye, hear ye! The Florida Renaissance Festival returns with food and fun fit for royalty.
Meet sword fighters, minstrels, magicians and more as you are transported back to the 16th century throughout eight themed weekends February 1 through March 23. Whether you visit one day, a weekend, or all, each will be a unique experience filled with hundreds of performers, more than 100 artisans, a cornucopia of food, exciting activities and a multitude of games like axe throwing, archery and Water Wars Balloons. Guests are encouraged to dress in historical period attire to experience the true spirit of the Renaissance period.
The festival kicks off February 1 and 2 with a Kid’s Kingdom filled with fun for pint-sized kings and queens. There will be fabulous fairies, juggling jesters and endless lengths of “troll hair” to consume. Best yet, all young squires ages 6-11 enter the gates for free (after paying the required $1.50 County Park fee per child).
Here’s a roundup of the themed weekends. Pick your favorite or try something new. Additional details can be found at http://www.ren-fest.com
