The evolution of Dr. Jane Goodall comes to South Florida PBS
Becoming Jane: The Evolution of Dr. Jane Goodall is an award-winning immersive exhibition developed by the National Geographic Society in partnership with the Jane Goodall Institute USA. Through immersive projections, hands-on interactive experiences and multimedia storytelling, visitors journey from Jane’s childhood dream of Africa to Gombe National Park in Tanzania, where her pioneering research changed the understanding of chimpanzees and the natural world. Guests can step inside a recreated Tanzanian forest and Jane’s research tent, meet virtually rendered chimpanzees, try an augmented reality chimpanzee pant-hoot challenge and come face-to-face with a lifelike holographic projection of Dr. Goodall. The experience closes with a look at the scientists and conservationists carrying her work forward and an invitation to make a personal pledge for a more sustainable future. The visit lasts approximately 75 minutes and is suitable for all ages.
