Handprint Lilies
Kids can make a beautiful bouquet of handprint lilies to give to a loved one, or to create a special centerpiece. Using a pink or white piece of paper, have your little one trace their hand. Cut the handprint out, roll it around a pipe-cleaner stamen and curl the fingers to resemble petals. Finish it off by using pipe cleaners as stems. Voila: instant flowers that are meaningful and don’t ever need to be watered. Step-by-step video instructions can be found at https://onelittleproject.com/handprint-lilies/.
Egg Carton Chicks
Do something fun – and environmentally friendly – by repurposing paper egg cartons into cute little chicks. You’ll need two egg-carton cups, yellow paint and a paintbrush, scraps of orange and yellow construction paper (or color your own), glue, scissors, tape and a couple of googly eyes. When you’re done, you can stash a little treasure or treat inside. Learn how to make your own at http://www.dltk-kids.com/animals/mcarton_chick2.htm.
Paper Roll Bunnies
Here’s a fun way to recycle all of those toilet paper rolls. All you need is an empty toilet paper roll, some white paint, card stock, pipe cleaners and pom poms. If you don’t have those supplies, you can use your imagination (and whatever supplies you have on hand) to improvise. Peep Project
Peeps are just plain cute, but even cuter when they play the starring role in an Easter craft. With a few extra supplies, you can create car-racing Peeps, hula Bunny Peeps and even skateboarding Peeps. Tin Foil Easter Eggs
Create a shimmering, colorful egg using tin foil. Cut an egg shape out of card stock and then cover it with a sheet of tin foil. Let the kiddoes decorate away using a variety of colored markers (permanent so they don’t smudge). If you are hard boiling eggs for the holiday, foil can be used to wrap around the real thing too.
