Brévo Theatre presents the South Florida premiere of “School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play,” Jocelyn Bioh’s acclaimed comedy about friendship, beauty, ambition and identity. Set at an elite girls’ boarding school in Ghana, the witty and thought-provoking play follows a fierce rivalry that unfolds into a heartfelt exploration of belonging and self-worth. Opening Sept. 3, ahead of the play’s Broadway previews, the production runs through Sept. 27 at the HIVE Black Box Theatre at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center. Tickets start at $55.
