Family Fun at the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum
Ready for a family-friendly day trip? Roll down your car windows and soak up the sights, sounds, and smells of the Florida Everglades on your drive to the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum. Once there, take in high quality exhibits, a lush cypress-dome boardwalk, and a thriving Tribal community only a short drive from Florida’s bustling coasts.
ENGAGING and INTERACTIVE EXHIBITS
Featuring five exhibit galleries for our visitors to learn and explore Seminole culture and history, through life-like dioramas, temporary exhibits, and hands-on displays. The Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum will spark the curiosity of learners of all ages and interests.
EVERGLADES EXPLORATION
The Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum boasts more than one mile of elevated boardwalk through a 66-acre cypress dome. Educational plaques in English, as well as our two languages Mikasuki and Creek, identify plants and animals native to the Everglades. How many can you spot?
Follow the boardwalk to a recreated Living Village, where Tribal artisans demonstrate the traditional arts and crafts of woodcarving, beadwork, basketry and the distinctive Seminole patchwork.
A PLACE TO LEARN, A PLACE TO REMEMBER
Twenty-five years have passed quickly since we opened our doors, but we haven’t forgotten the tireless efforts and dedication of numerous Tribal leaders, Tribal members, Museum staff and visitors who have provided the opportunity to live by our very definition… a place to learn, a place to remember.
