Immerse yourself in the vibrant traditions and cultural heritage of the Polynesian Islands at Heiva Miami 2026, taking place on Saturday, April 18 and 19, 2026, at the iconic Miami Marine Stadium. This full-day festival offers a rich blend of cultural experiences, from food and crafts to ancestral sports and live performances, celebrating the spirit of French Polynesia, Hawaii, New Zealand, and more. Festival activities begin at 9 a.m.
Savor island-inspired cuisine, including shrimp rice plates, poke, and shaved ice, while exploring arts and crafts like lei-making, jewelry design, Tahitian drumming, and basket weaving. Local vendors and sponsors will also be on-site, offering a variety of products and interactive exhibits.
The day’s entertainment features a live island music, DJ, musical guests, dance performances and competition, and free Polynesian dance classes, including hula and the high-energy ‘Ori Tahiti dance. Visitors can also participate in ancestral sports such as Coconut Tree Climbing Races (Tauma Haʻari), Fruit Carrying Races (Timau Ra’au), Stone Lifting (Amora’a ‘Ōfa’i) and Beach Wrestling (Taputo). Registration is required for these activities.
Simultaneously, the 3rd Annual Black Belt Paddler Challenge will take place at the adjacent rowing center, showcasing a thrilling multi-craft paddling race inspired by traditional competitions of Tahiti and Hawaii. Top athletes from around the globe will compete for the coveted Black Belt Paddler Title, adding an exciting element to the festivities.
Whether you’re learning to hula, cheering on competitors, or enjoying the flavors and sounds of the islands, Heiva Miami 2026 offers an unforgettable celebration of Polynesian culture for all ages.

Joe Lovano has performed and recorded with a long list of jazz greats including Woody Herman, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Bill Frisell, Tony Bennett, Abbey Lincoln, Charlie Haden, John Scofield, McCoy Tyner, Ed Blackwell, Herbie Hancock, Dave Holland, Chucho Valdés, Ornette Coleman, Diana Krall, and many others. Joe has created an extensive body of work for his own ensembles.
Opening set by Fort Lauderdale’s award-winning Dillard Center for the Arts (DCA) Jazz Ensemble. This 21-member high school jazz band has been recognized nationally for its excellence, winning the prestigious Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition in New York City multiple times. The current director Voshaun Smith is an alumni of the band!
The Hollywood Arts Park Experience is produced by the Rhythm Foundation for the City of Hollywood.

Spend the day exploring our 37-acre tropical paradise and enjoy one of our guided tram tours at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., included with park admission. These educational tours showcase the park’s unique collection of exotic fruits, herbs, and spices from around the world.
For an even more flavorful experience, join our Tasting Tour at 12:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m., where guests can sample a variety of seasonal fruits.
